The following specs were carefully collected and recorded by a skilled technician. For a more detailed description and questions regarding sound, feel, or cosmetic condition, please call to speak to one of our experts.
Summary
Finish: The body has been refinished and the neck over-sprayed. The body refinish was performed a long time ago and the lacquer has since sunk into the grain of the ash and aged nicely.
Body Material: Ash
Neck Material: Maple
Neck Profile: "C" Shape
Neck Thickness (IN): 1st. Fret: .79" & 12th. Fret: .93"
Fingerboard Radius: 7.25"
Nut Width: 1-5/8"
Scale Length: 25 1/2"
Electronics: Non-original Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups with a three-position switch, a master volume pot, and a master tone pot. The switch is not original as well as some wiring and solder joints. The pots have had the bottoms sanded and because of this, the pot codes were worn away and are unable to be authenticated. Although the codes have been sanded off, the pots appear to be era correct but, again, cannot be deemed original.
Pickup Measurements: Bridge: 6.4k Neck: 7.5k
Hardware: The bridge, saddles, electronics cavity plate, and knobs are original. The tuner holes in the headstock were reamed out to accompany aftermarket tuners. These have since been removed and Kluson Deluxe tuners of the era have been installed. The nut, string tree, pickguard, and switch tip are not original.
Weight: 7 lbs 7 oz
Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Telecaster is in good cosmetic condition for it's age. There is heavy play wear throughout as well as dings, dents, scratches, and checking. There is a small filled hole on the headstock where a second string tree was installed and removed. There are larger dings along the edges of the body and headstock.
Modifications/Repairs: -Body refinish. -Neck overspray. -Refret. -Non-original neck pencil mark. -Neck pickup route has been enlarged to fit a humbucker. -Non-original Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups. -Rewire. -Tuner holes enlarged. -Non-original switch. -Non-original pickguard, nut, string tree, and switch tip.
Serial Number: 75088
Tech Notes: This Telecaster plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The non-original frets are tall and show little wear. Although the neck has a slab Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and a non-original "02-61" date, the guitar is being dated to 1962 based on the serial number.
Case Details: Non-original hardshell case.
